A blog about myself, Steven Middleton. What i basically do here is find interesting stuff (or at least the stuff i find interesting) and post it here for all to see!
Having a good perspective on life is essential to a happy, fulfilling living experience. Keep a positive mind and realize no matter how hard things get, someone always has it harder, and anything can be fixed and/or accomplished through perseverance... -Steven Middleton
I like this...
A priest offered a Nun a lift. She got in and crossed her legs, forcing her gown to reveal a leg. The priest nearly had an accident. After controlling the car, he stealthily slid his hand up her leg.
The nun said, "Father, remember Psalm 129?"
The priest removed his hand. But, changing gears, he let his hand slide up her leg again. The nun once again said, "Father, remember Psalm 129?" The priest apologized "Sorry sister but the flesh is weak."
Arriving at the convent, the nun sighed heavily and went on her way.
On his arrival at the church, the priest rushed to look up Psalm 129. It said, "Go forth and seek, further up, you will find glory."
Moral of the story:

My Shaver Shop Christmas TV Commercial For The Philips AT890 & Panasonic ESRT81 Electric Shavers.
Here it is...yes I am that bald guy on the Shaver Shop advert lol, I'm proud of the finished product and I am extremely thankful for the experience.
Its not everyday you get the opportunity to be in a national TV ad, that's on Free-To-Air and Foxtel, and its funny, I keep getting that "I Know You From Somewhere" look from everyone lol
Anyway...Go to a local Shaver Shop to get your Christmas Gifts sorted ;-)
The missus and I are looking at buying a house, so we needed to sit down and do a budget. We found this site to be very handy as far as budget sheets go https://www.moneysmart.gov.au/ its FREE and easy to use.
I found the Budget Planner to be the most handy, as you can either download a excel spread sheet or do it online, and if you sign up you can save the budget sheet for later use.
I have no affiliation with Money Smart what so ever, just wanted to bring this to peoples attention as its helped me extensively.
First off, sorry for not posting in ages, I have been really slack with my posting lately and i applogise to my readers.
Just a quick blog post today
But it looks like a complete lifestyle change for me, got my blood tests back and it seems i have high cholesterol and a damaged liver (from my many years of enjoying a drink or 10). I have too much to lose (i wanna watch my kids grow old) to NOT warrant changing my life with a complete overhaul, in which could start with going sober for a little while (i can here my family gasping lol) and getting my shit together to make sure I'm on this earth to annoy my peoples for as long as possible ;-)
I think this is Amazing, just drag the mouse around to see the video from any perspective, I hope more people do more videos like this, its a great concept...
"A Dutch company named YellowBird
has developed an amazing 360° video process that allows users to rotate
the point of view while they are watching. Now you don't have to wonder
what happens outside the range of the camera, you can see it all!"
I just heard from a young family member about another youth suicide, It
seriously hurts me deeply to know someone just couldn't take it any more
and took their own life, I'm talking about a high school kid...not that
its ever "right", but that's TOO YOUNG!!!!
I've been through some deep, very dark depressions, there have been
times where i thought about ending it, and I'm am thankful everyday i
made it out the other side unscathed.
I just wish i could tell
everyone that no matter how bad life can get, with some help, we as a
community can work with you to make it better, and there's plenty of
help out there, take beyondblue for example: http://www.beyondblue.org.au/index.aspx? maybe ask a teacher, parent or a friend (if you need help, you can even in-box me) to ask for help for you, anything!!!
We live in one of the greatest times to be alive in the history of
mankind, and the future is promising you've just got to give it a go...
I'm not asking for everyone to become Philanthropists, but please look
for the signs of Depression and reach out to them, you just might save
their lives!!!
I know the title is quite bias, but hey, its my son.
I was going through some of my photos and i found a few of my son only about 6 month old, i forgot just how big and beautiful his eyes were/are. I'm glad as he gets older (now 2 and and half years old) his eyes are still too big for his head lol
Im really feelin this, sounds like early Eminem, its got a great positive message, which i love to hear from an artist in Hip Hop. More Power To Him....Hopsin.
UFO Documentary: Australia (2009) - Westall 1966: A Suburban UFO Mystery (Full Documentary)
I watched this last night, i found it quite riveting and the fact that practically a whole school saw this event happen makes it even more credible to me.
So personally i don't think its a case of did it happen? its more of a case of, what was it? Government experiment? Or a real case of, we've been visited by someone from somewhere else other than earth? I'll let you have your own opinion but i personally think the latter....
It Ain't Easy Being A Reporter
A hilarious compilation of news reporters getting levelled, falling, being chased by
dogs, attacked, hit and whatever else happens in the field. Good Times!!!
As some of you may know i am an Aussie hip hop artist myself and I go by the name of Tru Blue Emcee, but I have found as I have become a father and my responsibilities have changed, I have gone into more of a promoter/blogger/representative of the art form type of role.
I have created a couple of online avenues for the art to become noticed, I'm trying to play my part to get the art form more exposure in any way I can.
Aussie hip hop has come along way since I first started making music back in the mid ninety's, and it seems almost anyone you speak too (general public) has a favourite artist whereas back in the day you really had to search out the music, let alone find someone who was a massive fan and supported the artist anyway they could.
I personally love the fact that Australian hip hop has gone a little more commercial as it brings more eyes and ears towards this type of music, I also like the fact that our underground movement hasn't suffered at all from the emergence of pop hip hop, I know some peeps hate the mainstream factor of the music but you don't have to listen to it, "To Each His Own".
Anyway enough babbling, below are the sites I own and run, please feel free to check them out and post some of your music while your there.
I try and post as regularly as i can on this page with music from up and coming artists to established ones, I also run competitions from time to time too. I encourage other artists to post links to their music, events, gigs etc. on our wall.
This is a Soundcloud group page, so if you have a soundcloud account you can easily post your music to it, I have the music player embedded on all the above sites, and it gets posted to facebook often.
I'm almost lost for words!!! I mean seriously??? honestly, what would this kid know about booty poppin anyway? and if he did know about it, whats his parents doing????

An old Cherokee told his grandson: "My son, there's a battle between two
wolves inside us all. One is Evil. It's anger, jealousy, greed,
resentment, inferiority, lies and ego. The other is Good. It's joy,
peace, love, hope, humility, kindness and truth." The boy thought about
it and asked: "Grandfather, which wolf wins?". The old man quietly
replied: "The one you feed."

This speech is nearly 70 years old, Charlie Chaplin plays the role of a poor Jewish barber mistaken for Adolph Hitler. This is a speech Charlie gives at the end of the movie that seems like it fits pretty well with the events of the world today.
A new track i did (My Facebook Page: Tru Blue Emcee) with my brother Camira and my missus Crystal, with a small cameo at the end by my baby boy Izack (my Son) I am so proud of this piece of work right here, hopefully people can appreciate the love and content that's gone into this project :-D
